Step 1a is to get familiar with the table, so view, read aloud and repeat. If you think you remember them it's time to test your knowledge at step 1b.

This is where you can practice your 3 times table. There are various ways the tables can be practiced. For example, you can practice the 3 times table in sequence, and once you have got the hang of that, you can make it a bit harder by practicing the sums up in random order. Split the table in half and learn up to 3 times 6 first. Then practice the difficult ones carefully, the 3x7 and 3x9. Skip-counting is also a good way for remembering the 3 times table. This would be 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, etc. This combined with our five-step plan and games gives great results.
